12/27/2008 - Raleigh, NC (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Michael Ryder scored the go-ahead goal with 6:14 left in the third period, as the Boston Bruins topped the Carolina Hurricanes, 4-2, at RBC Center.

Blake Wheeler notched a pair of goals, and Chuck Kobasew added an empty-net marker for Boston, which won its seventh consecutive contest. The Bruins hadn't won seven in a row since an eight-game streak from March 30-April 14, 1993.

Tim Thomas stopped 29 shots to get the win for Boston, which leads the Eastern Conference with 56 points. The Bruins haven't lost since December 10 at Washington and is 21-2-1 in their last 24 games.

Matt Cullen and Anton Babchuk scored for Carolina, which was coming off a win at Atlanta on Friday, and has followed its last three victories with a loss. Cam Ward made 18 stops in net for the 'Canes.

With the game knotted at 2-2 past the midway point of the third period, Marc Savard picked up a loose puck and skated backwards to the right side of the ice in the Boston offensive zone. After taking one stride back, he fired a pass through traffic to the left side for Ryder, who one-timed the puck past Ward.

Carolina, which hit the crossbar twice in the third period's first three minutes, was unable to put the disc past Thomas the rest of the way. Kobasew tallied with the net vacant with 15.1 ticks remaining.

Cullen gave Carolina the lead with 3:54 remaining in the opening frame, after Chad LaRose put a shot on net. Thomas stopped it, but couldn't control the rebound, which Cullen shoveled in.

Boston entered the middle period down by one, but quickly assumed the lead as Wheeler evened the contest just 2:23 expired. His second goal of the game, coming at 6:04, gave the Bruins a 2-1 lead.

However, with 9:02 left in the second, Babchuk blasted a shot from the point that got past Thomas to tie the game once more.

MySportsbook.com favors Bears, Bengals, Chargers and Colts to remain perfect

LAS VEGAS , Sept. 28 - Two big match-ups of undefeated teams have fans salivating at the Week Four schedule in the NFL. The Chicago Bears stifling defense looks to provide a less than hospitable welcome to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night in a battle of two 3-0 teams in the NFC conference. In the AFC, the San Diego Chargers (2-0) head to Maryland to face the surprising Baltimore Ravens (3-0) as both try to keep pace atop the conference standings. Betting Lines makers at MySportsbook.com, online sportsbook and casino, have set the Bears as 3.5 point favorites while the Chargers are a 2.5 point bet.

Of the three remaining undefeated teams, only one, New Orleans, enters this week's game as an underdog. Despite an emotional and resounding win over Atlanta on Monday night, the Saints are a 7.5 point underdog against the struggling Carolina Panthers. Indianapolis looks to stay perfect when they face the New York Jets as a 9 point road favorite while the Cincinnati Bengals are a 6 point favorite at home to the New England Patriots.

Six teams enter the week still looking for their first win, with a seventh, Tampa Bay, on a bye week. The prospect of dropping another game would not bode well for a potential playoff run. Since 1990, just three teams -- the 1992 Chargers, 1995 Detroit Lions and 1998 Buffalo Bills -- have overcome losing their first three games of the season to earn a postseason berth. And only the Chargers managed to accomplish the feat after starting 0-4.
